| Milton (Mud River) is the only covered bridge remaining in Cabell County. It is the only example of a Howe Truss in West Virginia. An earlier covered bridge located near the present site was the scene of a military operation during the Civil War. The Milton bridge was moved to its current location and renovation work completed in January 2002. | |
