| Simpson Creek is one of two remaining covered
bridges in Harrison County. The bridge was washed out in 1889 and was moved 1/2 mile
to its present site. In 1984, a tree fell across the roof. Repairs have since
been made. This bridge is no longer used by traffic as a concrete bridge was built
next to it. It is in excellent condition.
Rehabilitation work completed in 2002 |
